Law Enforcement Seeks Suspect in Bank Robbery of First State Financial  Branch in Jellico

The Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Chief Chris Anderson of the Jellico Police Department (JPD) are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the man who robbed the First State Financial Bank today in Jellico.
At approximately 10:49 a.m. on July 1, 2013, the subject entered the First State Financial Bank branch at 996 5th Street in Jellico, Tennessee. He presented a note to the bank employees, demanding money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money from the bank, the subject fled on foot.
The subject is more fully described as follows:

  • White
  • Male
  • Approximately 5’6” to 5’8”
  • Approximately 130 to 140 pounds
  • Slim build
  • Early to mid-20s
  • Camouflage hooded sweatshirt
  • Camouflage shorts
  • Sunglasses

Anyone with information is asked to call the Knoxville FBI at 865-544-0751 or the Jellico Police Department at (423)784-6123. A reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of this individual.
This matter is being investigated jointly by the Jellico Police Department and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force (SSTF), composed of the FBI, KPD, and the KCSO.
All defendants are presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
